The town of Montferrat, in Isère, will host the eleventh edition of the Célestin Adolphe Pégoud Air Show on Sunday, August 23, 2026. This free event, centered around the community hall and the square dedicated to the famous aviator, offers a deep dive into the history and passion for aviation in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
The day’s program, running from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the public can enjoy static displays featuring, among other things, a Blériot XI from the Club des Garrigues, a glider from the Morestel Aero Club, Guiguet motorcycles, as well as parade buses from the French Air and Space Force and the CIRFA in Grenoble. Introductory helicopter flights and flight simulator activities will also be available. Following a tribute ceremony to Célestin Adolphe Pégoud at 11:30 a.m., followed by opening flights by the ACD aerobatic team and the EVAA, the show continues in the afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with aerobatic displays featuring the EVAA in Extra 330s, the T6 from Corbas, the Stearman from Saint-Rambert, and the Mustang X-Ray aerobatic team from the AEE in Cognac. A lecture titled “Célestin Pégoud: King of the Skies” is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., while a food service and a refreshment stand will be available for visitors on site.
